Rescue Practice 2022
This 8 hour course will cover rescue scenarios common on Interior Alaska lakes and rivers. You will practice self-rescue including defensive and offensive swimming, capsized boat rescue and rescuing each other. You will learn and practice appropriate throw rope use as well. This course should not be confused with a swift water rescue class; we will not be practicing in big water or rapids.
Drysuits are required. If you need to use one of our drysuits there is an additional $10.00 equipment fee.
Location: TBD depending on water levels. First half will be on a lake and second half on moving water.
Time: 9:00 am 5:00 pm.
Class Size: Minimum 5 participants and Maximum 10 participants.
