Stroke and Maneuver Tune Up
This class is for you if you learned how to paddle in scouts or at camp, took a class with Canoe Alaska 20 years ago, or with us last year and you want to refine your skills, improve your paddling efficiency or weed out some bad habits you’ve developed over the years. The course will be two three-hour sessions. The first session is on a lake where it is impossible to fake your strokes while performing maneuvers. The second session will be on moving water where we will use the current to help us perform our maneuvers. We will focus on maneuvers such as ferries, eddy turns, peal outs.
