Due to the spike in COVID 19 cases this course is canceled.

This 6 hour course will cover rescue scenarios common on Interior Alaska rivers. You will practice self-rescue including defensive and offensive swimming, capsized boat rescue and rescuing each other. You will learn appropriate throw rope use as well. This course should not be confused with a swift water rescue class; we will not be practicing in big water or rapids.

Drysuits are required. If you need to use one of our drysuits there is an additional $10.00 equipment fee.

Location: Bridge 1 on the Upper Chena at MP 37.7. Class starts at at the bridge at 10:00 am and ends at the bridge at 4:00 pm.  Those who would like to ride to and from the venue with us, will meet in town at 9:00 am.

Class Size: Minimum 4 participants and Maximum 8 participants.
